Does every wet yard need a French drain?
No. Regrading, a swale, downspout routing or another approach may fit better. The source, grade and outlet guide the discussion.

Can the lawn be restored afterward?
Restoration can be included with the grading or drainage work, with materials and the final condition stated in the scope.
